Connecticon announces four more guests
Connecticon is pleased to announce that Sandeep Parikh, Scott Chernoff, Tony Janning, and Christina Vee will be guests this year. The convention will be held July 31-August 2 at the Connecticut Convention Center.
Sandeep Parikh is an Indian-American writer, director, actor and producer of comedy. He is best known for his co-starring role as Zaboo on the award-winning YouTube-based web series The Guild. He created, co-wrote, and directed The Legend of Neil (for Comedy Central and AtomFilms), a comedy webseries based on The Legend of Zelda. He is also the founder of Effinfunny.com, a comedy video site focusing on alternative stand up comedy and the creation of original web series.
Scott Chernoff is the Co-creator of the voiced puppet comedy Videogame Theater and the Adult Swim web series Kitten vs Newborn. He regularly appears in short comedy bits on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, and has appeared on The Sarah Silverman Program, Tom Goes to the Mayor, and in numerous videos at Channel 101. In The Legend of Neil, he played Gannon. Scott also wrote and edited for Lucasfilm's official "Star Wars" magazine and wrote the book "The Stars of Star Wars" for LucasBooks and Random House Young Readers.
Tony Janning is writer and actor who started off his career by doing a variety of Improv comedy, sketch, stage, and short films with several Chicago theater companies, most notably with pH productions. He has acted in some Channel101.com shows, including Raptor, which he co-wrote, and performed with the Improv group Being Humans. He also played the Ace of Spades in a couple of commercials for AbsolutePoker.net. He is best known for his starring role in The Legend of Neil, which he co-wrote with Sandeep Parikh.
Christina Vee is an American voice actress that caught the attention of dubbing studio Bang Zoom! Entertainment from a voice acting panel at Anime Expo 2004. She has played lead roles in Rozen Maiden: Traumend, Aika R-16, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, The Familiar of Zero. She has also provided voices in Tweeney Witches, Hare+Guu, One Missed Call, Izo, among others. In addition to her voice work, Christina records her own renditions of anime songs that have been very popular on YouTube.
