Otakuthon 2009 announces dates
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA (December 9, 2009) - Otakuthon is pleased to officially announce that the 4th edition of Montreal's fan-run anime convention will take place from July 31st to August 2nd, 2009.
Otakuthon 2009 will be once again held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. This world-class, ultramodern convention center is located in the heart of downtown Montreal in the International District (Quartier international) and is only a few minutes away from both Chinatown and Old Montreal.
Otakuthon 2009 will also see another first - this will mark the first year that Otakuthon will be a 3-day convention. As with previous years, Otakuthon 2009 will see the return of many popular events such as the Masquerade, the Otakuthon Idol Competition, the Saturday Night Dance, and the AMV Contest Screening & Award Show. The Dealers' Area and Artists' Area will be growing in size once again to offer an even larger and wider variety of goods, and an expanded convention area will offer many more special events and activities.
More information as well as online pre-registration for the convention will be made available in the upcoming months on the Otakuthon's website at www.otakuthon.com. More updates and information will be coming in early to mid-February.
