Providence Anime Conference announces Tom Wayland as guest of honor

Veteran voice actor with hundreds of roles to attend

PROVIDENCE, June 23, 2008 – Providence Anime Conference is pleased to announce that veteran voice actor Tom Wayland will be attending the convention as a Guest of Honor, joining a top-notch group of guests at the event.

A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in acting, Tom performed in many theatrical productions, from Hamlet to Jesus Christ Superstar to Stomp. After some time wandering up and down the East Coast, Tom landed at Central Park Media, where he has worked for over four years, producing over 200 different anime programs. He has also moved into voice directing for titles such as Alien Nine, The World of Narue, Shootfighter Tekken, and Ichi the Killer.

Expanding beyond voice work, Tom founded TripWire Productions in 2004, which has directed numerous dubs for both home video distribution and network television, including Mew Mew Power and Magical DoReMi, which aired nationally on Fox.

Tom has somehow managed to find the time to land a multitude of roles as an actor, with recurring roles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Jammerhead, Mew Mew Power as Minimew, GI Joe Sigma Six as Storm Shadow, Pokémon as Reggie and a host of adorable critters, and Magical DoReMi as Oliver, Marvin and Reanne's Dad.

Current projects are voicing and directing audiobook projects for Audible.com, voice director and audio post production on Joe vs. Joe from AnimeWho, and voice director of the hit TV series Pokémon.
