Zenkaikon 2007 announces musical guests

PRISM RETURNS FOR ZENKAIKON 2007

VALLEY FORGE, PA - Prism's warmth and talent was one of the highlights of Z-con 2006. Prism returns to Zenkaikon 2007 to spread their magical girl mojo.

About Prism:

Prism is a Mahou Shoujo costumed performing troupe who primarily perform as the characters from the beloved anime, manga, live action and musicals of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, though they also include other Magical Girl series. They perform as a community service effort to bring joy to the lives of those in need. In addition, they perform in cultural events and at anime conventions. Prism is a non-profit organization that loves what they do and strives to do their best. They have placed a huge focus on helping the community. The group performs at hospitals, assisted living facilities and at benefits, among other places. They love bringing their performances to all of the people in their community. Their goal is to make people happy, as that is their passion. They send out great thanks to all of their supporters and are honored to return to Zenkaikon in 2007.


HSU-NAMI TO PERFORM AT ZENKAIKON 2007

VALLY FORGE, PA - Zenkaikon is pleased to announce Hsu-nami will perform on the main stage at Zenkaikon 2007!

Formed in the fall of 2005, The Hsu-nami is an Asian rock fusion instrumental group. Members are Jack Hsu (Er-Hu), Brent Bergholm (Lead Guitar), Vinny Belcastro (Guitar), Derril Sellers (Bass), Adam Toth (Piano/Synths), and John Manna (Drums). Each member has a different background in music with influences ranging from rock, metal, funk, jazz, blues, classical to of coarse traditional Asian music (Coming from Jack Hsu). It is a mixture music blend of east meets west, It is characterized as new-age fusion, the osmosis of oriental pastime + the tenacity of modern rock.

D-CHAN RETURNS FOR ZENKAIKON 2007

VALLEY FORGE, PA - After acting as the Musical Master of Ceremonies for Zenkaikon 2006, D-Chan is back for Z-con 2007 bringing with him new music as well as old favorites.

About D-Chan:

D-Chan is a 22 year-old professional Japanese/Korean vocal musician. He has been singing since he was a little boy, with his first recording being "10 Little Indians" when he was in kindergarten at Manoa Elementary School in Havertown, PA. Since then, he has moved on to become a major member of all the top vocal groups his academic career had to offer.

Among other milestones in his young vocal career, he sang on the opening day of The Kimmel Centre Of The Performing Arts in Philadelphia PA. In addition to winning various district and regional vocal festivals and helping his vocal groups to gain top honors in vocal adjudications across the east coast, he has recorded various singles and two demo albums, Watashi Wa (I Am) and Ai no Chikara (The Power Of Love). Early 2007, D-Chan released his first full-length album, Tamashi no Rufuran (Soul's Refrain), featuring anime classics and Asian music standards.


About Zenkaikon:
Zenkaikon was formed by the merger of the anime and sci-fi con Zentrancon, and the anime con, Kosaikon, both in the Philadelphia area. In 2006 they put on their first event which was a tremendous success. They will be holding their second annual convention in King of Prussia, PA on October 13, 2007 in the Valley Forge Scanticon Hotel & Conference Center. 2007 will be better than ever, with an improved layout, more video rooms, improved panels, more live entertainment, larger dealers' area, and concessions for the hungry crowds!
