Anime Boston 2003 Guests Announcement

The New England Anime Society, Inc. and AnimeOnDVD.com, joint sponsors of Anime Boston 2003, are proud to announce that Tiffany Grant, Kirby Morrow and Jamie McGonnigal will be appearing as Guests of Honor at Anime Boston 2003.

Tiffany Grant first began voicing characters in animation in 1994. Since then she has gone on to act in some of the most important and influential Japanese anime titles of all time. Some of the shows she has appeared in are: Devil Hunter Yohko, Gunsmith Cats, Blue Seed, Goldenboy, Battle Angel, Plastic Little, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sol Bianca, Dirty Pair Flash, Kimagure Orange Road, Slayers, Sorceror Hunters, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, Martian Successor Nadesico, Dragon Half, Spriggan, Princess Nine, Excel Saga and Steel Angel Kurumi. Kirby Morrow trained in theatre and developed his vocal skills on the stand-up comedy stages around the world. He began voicing characters in various mediums (animation, Muppets, etc.) in 1997, amidst his flourishing acting career, which includes feature films, guest-starring roles on television, and theatre. Kirby is currently voicing leading characters on the following shows: Project Arms, Barbie & the Nutcracker, Mary Kate & Ashley, Alienators, Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing, X-Men: Evolution, The Vision of Escaflowne, Nascar Racers, Z-Mind, Brats of the Lost Nebula, Yvon of the Yukon, Ark, Hamtoro, Kong, and more. Kirby can also be seen in the feature films: Bones, Slapshot II, MVP, and Avalanche Alley. His television credits include guest starring roles on Special Unit 2, Jerimiah, Stargate SG-1, Outer Limits, Total Recall 2070, Highlander the Raven, Breaker High, Viper, Seven Days, First Wave, and a half dozen made for TV movies. Jamie McGonnigal can be heard as the voice of Takeo in Magic User's Club, Omi in Knight Hunters as well as Kosaku in Demon Fighter Kocho, all released by Media Blasters/Anime Works. He has also been heard as the title character in Scifi.com's Barbarian Moron. Jamie is also well known for his work onstage in New York City, the Boston area, and around the country in roles such as Jack in Into the Woods, Tom Sawyer in Big River and Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. He has also been seen in many workshops of new musicals including David Friedman's King Island Christmas with Paolo Montalban, Archie in Archie's Girls (based on the comic) and Matthew in 108 Waverly. He can also be heard on the original cast recordings of Journey to the Center of the Earth: The Musical, and Something Bound to Begin. Anime Boston 2003 is a three-day Japanese animation convention that will be held April 18-20, 2003 in Boston, Massachusetts. Anime Boston's diverse programming schedule includes a masquerade contest, game shows, music video contest, art show, role playing games, karaoke and more. Panel programming consists of fan panels as well as panels hosted by our guests of honor and industry representatives. The Game Dungeon is over 5,000 square feet of dedicated gaming space. The video-programming track has video rooms open until the early morning hours showing videos from the past, present and future. Additionally, Anime Boston's large dealers' room has already been completely booked up by vendors who will be selling anime related merchandise.

The official convention hotel is the historic Boston Park Plaza Hotel, located right in the heart of beautiful downtown Boston. The New England Anime Society has negotiated a special room rate for the convention at $119.00 per night. This rate applies for either a single or a double room.
