Anime Expo announces American voice actor guests

First Time Ever U.S. Industry Guests of Honor

Anaheim, California (April 18, 2006) -- Anime Expo® 2006 (AX2006) proudly announces the attendance of Vic Mignogna and Laura Bailey as the 1st ever official U.S. Guest of Honors, proudly representing the American side of the Anime industry, at this year's convention. The 15th year anniversary convention will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center July 1-4, 2006. More information is available at http://www.anime-expo.org.

Vic Mignogna is a producer, music composer and veteran actor extraordinaire is best known as the voice of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. Most recently he has lent his voice to the role of Hikaru in ADV's Macross. His extensive filmography includes such roles as Dark in DN Angel, Tatsu in Peacemaker, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Broly in Dragonball Z, Kougagai in Saiyuki, Mamoru in Raxaephon, Hiroki in Princess Nine, Goemon in Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Shougou in Megazone 23, and Gawl in Generator Gawl. In addition, Mr. Mignogna has performed in Evangelion (director's cut), Yu Yu Hakasho, Dragonball GT and many, many others.

Laura Bailey is a professional voice actress and ADR (Automatic Dialogue Replacement) director who, among other roles, is well known as the voice of Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket and Sana Kurata in Kodocha. Laura's impressive acting repertoire also consists of popular roles such as Henrietta in Gunslinger Girl, Ayaka in Negima, Serena in Case Closed, Ryoko in Spiral, Alv in Kiddy Grade, Marlene Angel in Blue Gender, and Lust in Fullmetal Alchemist, as well as many others.
