MIDWEST CITY, OK (October 21, 2011) - Izumicon 2011 announces main events and guests Vic Mignogna, Christine Auten, Samantha Inoue-Harte, David Williams, and Doug Smith!

Izumicon is proud to announce Vic Mignogna, Christine Auten, Samantha Inoue-Harte, Doug Smith, and David Williams as the guests of honor for the 2011 convention.
Vic Mignogna - Actor / Composer / Singer / Producer
Since he was 8 years old, Vic has been acting for stage and screen, but his anime career started a little over ten years ago as Vega in Streetfighter II. Vic Mignogna is infamous for his roles in over a hundred and fifty shows and video games, such as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suou in Ouran High School Host club, and Fai in Tsubasa Chronicle, with more current as Edward in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Yoshimori in Adult Swin's Kekkaishi, Zero in Vampire Knight and Death Scythe in Soul Eater. Soul Calibur, Disgaea, Persona III, DBZ, Bleach and Sonic Colours are just a few video games that Vic Mignogna has also voiced roles for as well.
But even longer than his voice acting, Vic has been a professional music composer / singer / producer who has written and produced hundreds of songs for TV, radio and CD. He sings the themes for shows like One Piece & DBGT, and has produced several CDs of his own original music, all available on iTunes. And finally, in addition to anime and music, Vic has a degree in film and is deeply involved in the popular web Star Trek web series like Star Trek Phase II and Starship Farragut as an actor and director. Vic works regularly writing, producing and directing video and film productions of all kinds.
Christine Auten - Voice Actor / Scriptwriter / Voice Director
Christine Auten started her career in anime back in the dark ages, in a time before Pro-Tools and Teleprompters. Many years, and many long hours in the booth later, she has been fortunate enough to have worked on quite a few titles as a voice actor, scriptwriter and voice director. Some for her more familiar characters include Izumi in Fullmetal Alchemist, Kuroha in Eden of the East, Sakaki in Azumanga Daioh, Hope/Lady Death in Lady Death the Movie, Keiichirou in Ghost Stories, Teresa in Claymore, "Priss" in Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Maria in Vexille, Sister NoÅ1/2lle Bor in Trinity Blood, Elvy in RahXephon, Limelda Jorg in Madlax, Barbara Fuccon in Fuccons, Claudia in Macross, Rizel in Chrono Crusade, Edel and Uzura in Princess Tutu, Angelica Burns in Coyote Ragtime Show, and Azalie in Orphen, but Christine has voiced and director many more roles as well.
Samantha Inoue-Harte - Producer / Animator / Director / Actress / Makeup FX Artist
Samantha has been working in the film industry since 1997, with roles in Sin City, Office Space, Planet Terror, Beatdown, Machete, Idiocracy, National Lampoon's The Stoned Age, True Grit, Teeth, Jonah Hex, and several more. Her FX makeup work can be in Teeth, Grindhouse, and Shores of Another Sea. The anime industry has heard Samantha voice different roles in numerous titles including Ascension, Samurai X, DC Universe Online, Trinity Blood, Sakura Wars, Final Fantasy Unlimited, and many more for FUNimation Entertainment, A.D. Vision Films, New Generation Pictures, and Sony. She also has a co lead in an upcoming 3D animated feature slated for release in 2012 for Lions Gate.
Her animation clients include SpikeTV, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Playboy, Funimation Entertainment, Warner Brothers Classics, Mattel, Chuck E. Cheese, and Disney. She has worked as a producer on original anime content in partnership with Funimation Entertainment where she has done concept art, story development, IP acquisitions, scriptwriting, and all other things relating to the creation of an original anime series or an animated feature. She has recently announced that she will be producing a 3D animated feature adaption of American Fantasy/Sci Fi novelist, Tad William's Tailchaser's Song. But for fun, she enjoys cowboy action shooting and orchestrating zombie attacks on unsuspecting victims… her best victim being American Idol.
David Williams - Industry / Marketing / Director
David Williams has been in the anime industry for over 19 years doing everything from subtitling to DVD production, marketing to ADR directing. He is currently working with Sentai Filmworks where he has helped to bring out titles such as, High School of the ADR director with ADV Films, he directed shows such as D.N.Angel, Angelic Layer, Pretear, Najica Blitz Tactics and many others too numerous to list. He has authored hundreds of DVDs and BDs, subtitled more shows than he can count and been instrumental in bringing hundreds of shows to the US.
Doug Smith - Artist / Voice Actor / Graphic Designer
Doug Smith is an accomplished freelance artist and voice actor who has performed many roles for ADV and Funimation, including the lead, Kintaro Oe, in Goldenboy. One of his lesser known, but more powerful roles, is that of Squeebo, the poor blind orphan in the OVA series Splendid Eyeball Gremulak, which, unfortunately for fans everywhere, doesn't actually exist.
His artwork has been used for CD album covers, magazines, comics, posters, anime con program guides, badges, DVDs, TV and is currently working with Outlaw Entertainment L.L.C. illustrating / designing their titles. Doug is also the Art Director for non-profit Voices For, an organization which works with talented people in the anime/manga industry to create products, the profits of which are donated to charity.
