Animaritime announces newest guest
Moncton, NB - December 17, 2010 - Animaritime is proud to announce Spike Spencer as its newest guest! Spike Spencer has been a voice actor since the early nineties. He has voiced hundreds of episodes of anime including such notable titles as Evangelion, Battle Angel, Suikoden, Orphen, Spriggan, Nadesico, Mar, PreTear, Buso Renkin, Code Geass 2 and Bleach. Spike has lent his voice to many radio and TV commercials. His video game credits include WOW-The Burning Crusades, Tales of Vesperia, Steambot Chronicles, Star Ocean 2, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, and many others. An accomplished actor, he has worked with such notable stars as Tommy Lee Jones, Sandra Bullock, Frank Langella, Tia Carrere, and Scott Glenn and has been on set with many other stars. Spike is also an author, including "How to Be A Frickin Genius Voice Actor, Step One," "What Happens At The Con, Stays At The Con?," And "Don't Kill Your Date (And Other Cooking Tips)" [coming soon]. Spike is also a screenwriter with several projects in various stages. Spike is soon to begin production on his first feature film that he scripted, "Dwindle Down."
Joining Spike Spencer at Animaritime this year will be Faith Erin Hicks. Graphic novel artist and Haligonian, Faith Erin Hicks' work has recieved critical praise from around the world. Her works include Zombies Calling and The War At Ellsmere.
Animaritime is the Maritimes' leading anime and gaming convention. Animaritime will once again be holding events such as theater-style anime showings, panels and workshops, masquerade, an artist's alley, vendor room, card and board games, RPG's, console games, and much more. Animaritime is a non-profit event run by fans, for fans, that is designed to bring fans and the industry together for the furthering of knowledge and information.
Animaritime 2011 will be held at the Delta Beausejour in Moncton, New Brunswick on July 1st to July 3rd.
