Biography:
From Fukuoka, Japan, Marina has found her passion for singing since childhood. She took piano lessons starting at the age of three, and later taught herself to play the guitar at the age of fifteen to join a cover band in high school. In the same year she challenged herself to singing to her own piano accompaniment in a piano recital for the first time.

Already an accomplished singer singing Anime theme songs as a member of the light music club at college, she launched into the commercial Anime scene when she won the 4th Animax All-Japan Anisong Grand Prix in 2010 among more than 10,000 applicants and performed at ANIMAX MUSIX for 15,000 Anisong fans in Yokohama Arena.

Marina released "Morning Arch," the opening theme song for the TV Anime "A Channel" in 2011, "Takaramono," ("Treasure" in English) the 4th season Natsume's Book of Friends ending theme in 2012, and "Sono Koe wo Oboeteru," the Monogatari Series Second Season ending theme in 2013. She also performed "Kieru Daydream," the Nekomonogatari (Black) ending theme.

After succeeding in singing anime songs, she was chosen to sing for the PC game "Grisaia : Phantom Trigger" opening theme and "Weight of the World," the ending theme from popular PS4 game "NieR: Automata" by Square Enix. She performed the song at "NieR Music Concert Ningyou Tachi No Kioku" (Osaka・Tokyo・Taiwan) and "Musical Play YoRHa Ver1.2." in Tokyo.

In 2017 she held a solo concert tour "We are MARINARS!!" inside Japan in which she also sang to her own guitar accompaniment. Marina has performed in various events outside of Japan such as ACGHK (Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong), Anisong Grand Prix Korea, Taipei International Comics & Animation Festival, OVERLOAD New Zealand Manga & Comic Convention.

In addition to her vocalist career, she has long been a big baseball fan and possesses a broad knowledge of it. Her fans are called "Marinars."
