Biography:
Cristine's love for video games and anime led her to the cosplay community in 2005. Also known as "Kapalaka," she is a veteran cosplayer from Florida and has earned numerous "Best in Show" trophies and several craftsmanship awards. Having crafted more than 60 costumes, her attention to detail and mastery of good craftsmanship has won her the judge's seat on many occasions in Florida contests. She enjoys spreading the fun of cosplay and shares her fabricative knowledge through panels, workshops, and online tutorials. Most of her skills are self-taught with strengths in technical sewing, wig crafting, pattern drafting, armor/prop making and make-up. Trained with a Master's Degree in Architecture, she
has been known to apply lasercutting and 3D-printing technologies to take her cosplays to the next level.
