Doki Doki - The Manchester Japanese Festival is a unique event celebrating both traditional and modern Japanese culture.
The first Doki Doki Festival was held in Manchester on Sunday 13 November 2011 and attracted 1,600 visitors.
At the 2011 festival, there were talks, demonstrations and parades showcasing manga, anime, fashion, martial arts and other arts from Japan's past and present, as well as retail stalls, artist stands, a cinema room and games area. Hot and cold Japanese food from a number of local retailers was also available to festival goers.
We're aiming for the 2013 festival to be an even bigger event!
