Hobby Star to honor Con No Baka passes at Toronto AnimeCon

In response to the troubles fans experienced at last weekend's Con No Baka in Toronto, Ontario, Hobby Star Marketing, the organizers of CN Anime and Toronto AnimeCon have offered the following gesture:

Dear Anime Fans,

We at Hobby Star Marketing Inc. were very disappointed to hear about the fiasco that went on this past weekend and sympathize with the fans and exhibitors. As a token of appreciation to the Anime community for your support of our events over the years, we will honour all used or unused "Con No Baka" tickets at this Sunday's Toronto AnimeCon on December 4 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Simply bring your "Con No Baka" badge to the admission table for the Toronto AnimeCon and we will admit you to our event at no charge. For more information on the Toronto AnimeCon please visit: www.hobbystar.com

*Hobby Star Marketing Inc. and the Toronto AnimeCon have no affiliation with "Con No Baka" or its organizers.

Among the other problems fans faced at Con No Baka, the convention was shut down on Saturday night and did not open on Sunday. Hobby Star's offer to honor Con No Baka passes is an unprecidented move that is being received quite well by Toronto-area anime fans.

Con No Baka's web site states that information regarding the status of the convention will be posted on Monday, December 5th.
