News for Middle Tennessee Anime Convention 2009:

Middle Tennessee Anime Convention (MTAC) announces additional guests

NASHVILLE, TN – MTAC Continues to Grow Guest Lineup for 2009 Convention – MTAC Ninja!

MTAC, Music City's Anime Convention, is proud to announce a healthy addition to its guest lineup for this year's MTAC! With the convention less than thirty days away, MTAC is excited to still be growing its list of events and activities as we all look forward to what is guaranteed to be an exciting weekend! The guest list additions are robust, so let's dive right in!

Collen O'Shaughnessy:
Colleen Ann O'Shaughnessey is a voice actress, perhaps best known for her roles as Sora from the first and second seasons of Digimon (her first major voice actor role), Jazz Fenton in Danny Phantom and Ino Yamanaka and Konohamaru in Naruto. She has also done work in the video game industry where she voiced Genis Sage in Tales of Symphonia and KOS-MOS in Xenosaga II. She currently resides with her husband Jason Villard and has two children, Connor and Maggie.

James L. Barry:
James L. Barry is the illustrator of the first Warriors Manga trilogy, "The Lost Warrior" and the upcoming Ravenpaw trilogy. He is also the creator of the comics, "Punzel" and "The Last Prophet". James lives and draws in Brooklyn, NY. His cat Milo provides plenty of inspiration but loves to steal erasers.

Jeff Nimoy:
Jeff Nimoy - better known as Wolfwood from the popular series Trigun - wrote, directed, and served as story editor for the English translation of the anime Digimon: Digital Monsters (1999-2001 and the franchise films Digimon: The Movie and Digimon 02: Revenge of Diaboromon). He is currently writing and directing the animated series Zatch Bell!, as well as directing Naruto on Cartoon Network and Digimon Data Squad. Jeff joins MTAC as both a voice actor and as a seasoned industry member. He currently stars in the online webisode series Adventures in Anime with Quinton Flynn

Jeong Mo Yang:
Born in South Korea, Jeong Mo Yang moved to Argentina and lived there from age 6 to age 15, and has been living in United States ever since then. "My love for comics grew in me when I was a little boy for comics have the power, not only to display some of the most wonderful art, but also to tell beautiful stories". Jeong MO has put out The Rising Star Manga vol. 5, Star Trek Manga Vol 1, Hellgate: London Vol.1, , and Professional Manga to name a few and is currently working on Tierra, Dyoz, and Blade of the North Wind, which he hopes to get them out within 2009.

Sam Romero:
Sam Romero grew up in the inner-city of a small ass town called New Brunswick, New Jersey. He's still there in fact. He spends his days drawing webcomics, working professionally on contracts, and helping the local hippies when he can. He likes comics, videogames, dancing, and skirtchasing.

Steve Horton:
Steve Horton is the writer of TIERRA, the kaiju (giant monster) manga from Ape Entertainment, with artist Jeong Mo Yang. He's also the author of how-to books PROFESSIONAL MANGA and WEBCOMICS 2.0, and wrote STRONGARM for Image Comics and GROUNDED ANGEL for www.graphicsmash.com. He lives near Indianapolis with his wife, two kids and needy beagle Zoey.

Pre-registration for MTAC Ninja has closed at record numbers, but you're not out luck if you're planning on attending the convention! On-site registration will be available during the convention. Three-day passes will be available for $45, two-day for $35 and singles for $20.
