Ai-Kon announces musical performers KLH and Mode 7

WINNIPEG, MB - June 22, 2010 - Ai-Kon's Friday night rock concert will be featuring two amazing bands, KLH and Mode 7!

KLH has performed once before at Ai-Kon in 2009 and is an acoustic band that will be performing some of their favourite Yoko Kanno English language songs, mainly from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack.

New to Ai-Kon for 2010 is Mode 7, an instrumental rock band from Winnipeg that formed in Summer of 2008. They are known for their fun stage presence, a mesmerizing barrage of leads and improv solos! As well as a large repertoire of music from Classic series such as Super Mario Brothers, Legend Of Zelda, Mega Man, F-Zero, Sonic The Hedgehog, Final Fantasy and much much more.

The concert won't be an event you will want to miss, so be sure to stop by and watch these amazing performers on Friday night!

ABOUT AI-KON: Ai-Kon (http://www.ai-kon.org) is Manitoba's largest anime convention. An all-ages event, the goal of Ai-Kon is the promotion of Japanese/Asian animation and culture to the public. Started in 2001 by a local anime club, Ai-Kon took a reorganizing hiatus in 2002. It returned in 2003 to become an autonomous event, run by an independent volunteer committee. "Ai" means "love" in Japanese, hence Ai-Kon's slogan "For the Love of Anime".
